His mother also used to live here. At that time, his servant also brought his mother to Kashi. At the Scindia Ghat, the king's servant called many craftsmen of the country including Rajasthan and started the temple of Mahadev in the name of mother...


After the temple was built, he went there with his mother and said that he has paid off the debt of your milk. Mother bowed to Mahadev sitting inside the temple from outside and started going. The son said walk inside the temple...


Then the mother replied that the son turned back and looked at the temple, he got sunk in the ground. It is said that from this day till today, this temple is tilted on one side. It is said that the servant's mother's name was Ratna, hence the name of the temple was Ratneshwar Mahadev.
